Do you think farming would make a good computer game?

Well someone did and thousands of people now play on Farmville and Fantasy farm on Facebook. Fantasy Farm currently has 65,000 worldwide active users on facebook and over 11,000 fans.

Although this is a simple game it is a good way to highlight the issues farmers face and to educate people where food comes from. Players have to build a farm and protect it from disease and environmental disasters.

An area the game does not focus on is the social problems from living on a farm and rural community such as Single Farmers, finding Country Friends and Partners For Farmers.
