Date a Farmer: 3 Essential Tips

Wednesday, June 15th, 2011

Farmers are busy people, especially during peak season. If you want to date a farmer, or if you are dating one right now, then it’s essential that you adhere to the three following rules:

Date a Farmer – Dating Tip One:
Our first dating tip for dating a farmer is quite straightforward; don’t get in the way of farming. Farming is a way of life, if you want to date a farmer then let him or her be themselves – don’t try and change them and if crops need to be harvested, don’t expect a date the moment you click your fingers.

Date a Farmer – Dating Tip Two:
Love the country and everything that comes with it. This is very important; if you want to get into a relationship with a farmer then it’s imperative that you actually like the country and the lifestyle of a farmer. If you’re new to the whole ‘farmer dating’ scene then let him or her know and ask some questions!

Date a Farmer – Dating Tip Three:
The final dating tip is to be prepared to help out! While it may not be necessary, it would certainly go a long way to showing your commitment to the relationship if you helped out on the farm from time to time.

If dating a farmer is your ultimate goal you’re on the right dating website. Register for a FREE SEARCH and get searching for your ideal partner today.

New IceBreaker Feature Proves Great Success

Friday, March 19th, 2010

As part of a continued effort to improve the dating experience we launched a new Ice Breaker feature, this is paticualry useful for new members to get started.

Before the new Kissinggates.com IceBreaker feature country friends would have to search for partners within their area and age range and individually send messages to anyone who interested them, quite a slow process which would take a long time but not any more! Now new members can sign up for free and write one introduction message to send free to the members within their given area and age range. This should save a lot of time when searching for single farmers or country friends and make it easier to find someone - it is all free and done with one click of a button!

Another top tip for new members is to use the full search section, within that you can select members by age range, distance from you location and/or county and online within the last 24 hours.

For example a 40 yearold male farmer from Yorkshire might do a full search for;

- Age range –  30 – 50
- County – any
- Within – 30 miles
- Photos only – Yes
- Online with last 24 hours – Yes

This will diplay results from within 30 miles of him (important to select ‘any county’ if you live on the edge of a county), of 30-50 age bracket, accounts with pictures and recent activity.

We hope this advice helps and you take advantage of the latest IceBreaker feature which will save you buckets of time when looking for single farmers on Kissinggates.com, the home of rural dating.

What to give on a second date?!

Monday, March 15th, 2010

Did you know KissingGates.com has launched a video tutorial page? Plus we will be releasing our second video this week! If you look on the right you can catch up on our latest Dating Video Tutorial. – - – - > >

This video highlights, in a fun manner the importance of being yourself and taking dating one step at a time, as Online Dater’s we often draw on our own experiences of Countryside Dating when writing advice and discussing Dating Tips. The thing we have learnt at Kissinggates.com is there are no rules for dating, some people say opposites attract, others believe you need similarities. Some people suggest going for a meal on a first date, others think it is to formal. From this experience we conclude you must be yourself and not change your interests or hobbies to fit someone else’s, although in a good relationship there needs to be compromise. Here is a video guide;

We are often asked for advice on writing profiles when you register.  In simplest terms online dating is about selling yourself, but in an honest way. Here are some ideas; it is always good to tell people your social situation for example “I have just moved to the area because of my job” or “I am a busy most weekends with my children.” This helps others relate and understand the stage of your life you are at. The most important feature of countryside dating is to add a picture to your profile, this will have a huge difference on your success at recieving messages. We also recommend you use a special feature we have just developed that allows you to take a picture using a web cam and we can date and time verify this to prove it is a recent picture (with a green tick!).

There are more tips and advice once you sign up as a member. Good luck :)

Dating ideas for Valentines Day (even if you are single)

Sunday, February 14th, 2010

We understand that people have mixed feelings about Valentine’s Day. Some look forward to it, some feel as though it’s no different to any other day. Here are some Dating Ideas of what to do this Valentines Day (particularly useful if you are single);

- A night in with the lads. If you have a couple of mates who aren’t loved up, get the lads round! Maybe have a couple of games of poker or fire up the games console, get the beers in, and order every takeaway option going!

- Head for the pub! With February 14th falling on a Sunday this year it’s a perfect opportunity to go down to your local, have a roast dinner and watch the footie. What’s more there may be a few fellow singles there. There’s really no downside to this!

- Do something fun. Remember how much fun you had while you were younger, going to the zoo, the cinema or a theme park with a group of friends? Gather up your single friends and go somewhere you may not go to ordinarily. The best thing is, it shouldn’t be as busy.

- Feeling adventurous? Taking place across the UK, these Valentine’s bungee jumps are a great way of getting your heart racing! You can jump with your date or if you’re single and don’t fancy being tied to your best friend, you can jump on your own! Champagne greets you upon your return to the ground!

- Create a hamper. Bear in mind they don’t have to be expensive goods. If your partner loves a particular flavour of crisps or has an addiction to Walnut Whips, make sure they are in there! Knowing the foods that they like will say more than an impersonal basket of champagne and caviar ever could

- On a tight budget? Nothing says how much you’ve made an effort more than something handmade. If your budget doesn’t stretch to buying a Valentine’s Day gift, then why not make them something special? Alternatively, just buy them some heart centered Jammie Dodgers!

- Vouchers. No, we’re not talking £10 to spend in B&Q! Give them a series of vouchers that they can redeem against you. Things like ‘This entitles you to 1 massage’, or ‘I will do the washing up for 1 week’ are sure to do the trick.

- Cooking. It’s easy to go out for a meal, but do you really want to rub shoulders with everyone else all crammed in to the same restaurant? Eating at home gives you privacy and a more intimate feel. You could either treat them by cooking, or have a bit of fun by cooking the meal together

- A walk in the park. Nice and simple, but mix things up a bit. As you walk, look for things that remind you of your date or things you may have already done together and tell your partner why it reminds you of that particular memory. Sometimes the simplest of things can be the best.

- A lucky dip. Can’t decide what to do? Write down a load of different ideas, put them in a hat and pick one out!

Whatever it is you decide to do this year, as long as you have fun and enjoy yourself that’s all that matters. KissingGates.com will be very busy too, so make sure you log in and get chatting to some fellow Members!

Have fun! The KissingGates.com team.
