The aim is to find a group of people who live and work in a rural area, and who work hard to stay living in the countryside. The programme will feature the real highs and lows of running farms. We’ll show both the serious side of farming and the fun there is to be had in the countryside – the hard work and long hours as well as the lively social scene.

The production company also makes the popular E4 series Made in Chelsea but it’s important to emphasise that this programme will not be the same in terms of content or tone. Like Made in Chelsea, it will be filmed in the same glossy, aspirational way. Rather than a fly-on-the-wall style documentary (which tends to look more rough and ready) we want this series to look beautiful – to demonstrate that there is glamour in the countryside, alongside the hard work.
