Moos explained to the court the difficulties she encountered in making the farm productive and economically viable as she did not get any support from government. She also experienced several robberies on the farm and therefore did not feel safe to sleep on the farm until she found a couple to stay at the farm, rent free and Moos cordoned off a room for herself.

However perhaps her difficulties and certainly security would have been improved if she had found a partner. It is very difficult to find a partner when you live in a rural community but this could have been made easier had moos taken advantage of a new rural dating website designed for people from rural communities.
