Dating for Farmers

Saturday, October 15th, 2011

When it comes to dating there are certain rules and these are pretty universal, whether you’re a sophisticated city gent or a country dweller.

Farmers, often undeservedly, don’t have the best reputation when it comes to the ladies and the stereotype of a lonely woman who bakes pies and never leaves the house is not helping you when it comes to the opposite sex.

Luckily, that’s where Kissinggates.com comes in. We’ve got hundreds of singles looking for someone just like you; who shares their passion for all things rural and once you’ve found that special someone and it’s time to meet up we can offer you lots of hints to make sure you get it right when it really counts.

Dating for Farmers!

When you meet her be punctual but try not to be too early otherwise you might look bored or fidgety; compliment her but don’t be too overpowering; pay her attention but don’t come off like a stalker and put your hand in your pocket but don’t be a doormat.

Above all though, be the person she met on line. You’ve already won half the battle; she liked you and the conversations you’ve already shared enough to spend her time with you so use that experience to your advantage and remember the things she’s already told you.

Good Luck!

When it comes to dating or finding long term love many professions tend to gravitate towards each other as they search for someone who understands the stresses and pressures of their jobs and the nature of the work they do. Farmer Wants a Wife – Are Your Looking For Love?

Thursday, September 30th, 2010

If you live in the countryside then you’ll be well aware that it can be especially difficult to meet new people and form new relationships when you live in a village or rural area. Don’t fret! There are plenty of country folk who are located across the UK who are looking for love and even new friendships. What better way of meeting new people with similar interests to yourself than to become a member of KissingGates.com!

Farmer Wants a Wife

Do you remember the Farmer Wants a Wife series that was aired on television in 2001? Farmer Wants a Wife was a reality show that tracked the lives of single farmers who were looking for love. Women were then encouraged to write a letter, of which the farmer has to select his top ten women who are then invited to a social gathering. The farmer’s favourite five then go on a date with him individually, with two living for a week on his farm, and then the farmer eventually chooses his favourite.  This whole show exemplifies the fact that it can be very difficult for farmers to meet new people.

The Difficulty of Countryside Living

If you’re a farmer then you’ll no doubt have an exceptionally difficult lifestyle in the sense that you’ll often work irregular hours, and will have to tend to livestock or harvest at certain times of the year. It can therefore be difficult to meet new people, especially when there are limited places to socialise in the countryside unlike urban areas that are a melting pot for singles. Imagine a place where you could meet new people and communicate with them around your hectic lifestyle…

KissingGates.com

Is the topic of ‘Farmer Wants a Wife‘ something that sounds familiar? This is no doubt the case; so what better way than to jump into the dating circle than through becoming a member of KissingGates.com today? Best of all it is free, and you can register for free today by clicking here.

Farming can keep the earth cool

Friday, May 8th, 2009

New research from the US suggests that farmed fields can counter global warming and that planting trees to store carbon should be approached with caution.

Fields have a chilling effect on the earth. This “cool farms factor” has mitigated the effects of global warming across the entire continental US, and could continue to do so.

Using a high-resolution climate model, Noah Diffenbaugh of Purdue University in Indiana has calculated how agriculture has influenced the climate in the United States. He found that farming has caused a significant cooling across the US.

The question is how land use will change. Efforts to store carbon by planting trees, for instance, may have mixed consequences because tree cover may increase local warming. This needs to be taken into consideration when deciding how to reward forestation efforts, he says.

These are serious issues that farmers and farming practices must adapt accordingly. Kissinggates.com are as green as possible and take every measure to minimise our carbon footprint while providing a fantastic service for single farmers.

Earth Day

Thursday, April 23rd, 2009

Yesterday was Earth day (April 22nd). It was a day designed to inspire awareness and appreciation for the Earths environment and was founded by U.S. Senator Gaylord Nelson as an environmental teach-in in 1970 and is celebrated in many countries every year. This date is Spring in the Northern Hemisphere and Autumn in the Southern Hemisphere. Although Senator Gaylord shares a name with comic character Gaylord Focker we hope he does not share the bad fortune.

As farmers in the UK we have always had a close connection with the land and conserving it for future generations. In fact if we go back 20 generations most people were farmers depending on harvests to survive. Now farming is industrialised we are following government backed schemes such as the Stewardship Scheme to look after the land and embody the spirit of Earth Day. This must be kept alive for future generations – so single farmers should register today at the home of rural dating to keep the land and traditions alive.
